St. James' Cup Charity Golf Tournament 2010

St. James' Cup Charity Golf Tournament 2010, co-organized by Hong Kong Golf Association (HKGA) will be held on Thursday, 1 April 2010 at The Clearwater Bay Golf & Country Club. All proceeds of St. James¡¦ Cup will be used to support the 2 charity projects namely People¡¦s Food Bank and ¡§Grant-in-aid¡¨ Brighten¡¦s Children's Lives Charity Project. The former project aims to help the people in need through providing emergency food assistance while the later one aims to improve the learning condition of deprived children through distributing free stationery, books and other learning materials etc. Each of the contribution of our participants is highly appreciated!

The Settlement awarded the 2009 Best Practice Award in Social Welfare

Our ¡§Wanchai Livelihood Place Project¡¨ and ¡§Funeral Navigation Services¡¨ are awarded the 2009 Best Practice Award in Social Welfare out of 92 entries by the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. Moreover, Funeral Navigation Services is also awarded the Special Service Improvement & Initiation Award out of the 2009 Best Practice Award.

 

The Settlement awarded the Highest Service Hour Award 2008 (Public Organization)

Over the years, support from our volunteers is always the indispensible impetus for the Settlement¡¦s smooth provision of services. This year, the Settlement has been awarded the Highest Service Hour Award 2008 (Public Organization) by the Steering Committee on Promotion of Volunteer Service.

 

St. James Cup Charity Golf Tournament 2009

St. James¡¦ Cup Charity Golf Tournament 2009, co-organized by Hong Kong Golf Association (HKGA) was successfully held on Wednesday, 24 June 2009 at Hong Kong Golf Club¡¦s Eden Course in Fanling. 75 golf players participated in the tournament and HKD $520,000 was raised as a result. After deducting necessary administrative costs, all proceeds of St. James¡¦ Cup will be used to support the 2 charity projects namely People¡¦s Food Bank and Grant-in-aid Brighten¡¦s Children¡¦s Lives Charity Project. The former project aims to help the people in need through providing emergency food assistance while the later one aims to improve the learning condition of deprived children through distributing free stationery, books and other learning materials etc. Each of the contribution of our participants is highly appreciated!
